About Us
Phoenix Psychological Services (PPS) was established in 2006 after the founding consultants took the
strategic decision to combine their expertise to provide a wide range of quality and professional psychological
services for individuals, groups and organisations.
PPS has recruited a group of associated Chartered Psychologists to reflect a wide range of specialist skills and
expertise. The associate group includes those qualified in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology (including
Clinical Neuropsychology), Educational Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology and Occupational Psychology.
Some of our associates specialise in more than one of these areas.
Phoenix Psychological Services is strategically managed by Dr Elizabeth Gillett and Dr Jeremy Tudway, both of whom
are Chartered Psychologists who undertake work in all the service areas including the management and strategic
direction of the company.
Our values define who we are and are central to all of our activity. When dealing with
Phoenix Psychological Services you can expect to see us enacting these values at every opportunity.
Our guiding values are:
Professionalism
All of our associates are fully qualified and registered Chartered Psychologists with the British Psychological
Society. In addition we demand (and check) that our associates have the necessary additional qualifications and
registration with appropriate bodies for specialised areas of work. Professional credibility and integrity are
essential prerequisites for all of our associates.
Excellence
We strive towards excellence in all that we do by aiming to have at least two Chartered Psychologists involved
with every case, regardless of its nature. This may be by means of joint working, clinical supervision or professional
support. Evaluations are also used to inform our practice, as appropriate. In addition we actively encourage
Continuing Professional Development.
Ethically Sound
We adopt an ethical approach to all of our work and will not agree to any involvement that we deem to be inappropriate
or outside our areas of expertise and competence. Where-ever possible we will suggest ethical alternatives available
either in house or by other service providers. We strongly uphold all relevant aspects of the Human Rights Act, 1999.
Responsiveness
We believe that every individual, group or organisation is unique and should therefore be treated as such. All of
our work is guided by the principle of being responsive to these unique needs and providing a bespoke package of
psychological input.
Sensitivity
We value diversity in all of its forms and adopt a sensitive approach to difference. Furthermore we recognise the
importance of sensitivity relating to information and are registered under the Data Protection Act with the
Information Commission.
Corporate Responsibility
As an organisation we take our corporate social responsibilities seriously and ensure that these are in line with
our commitments to others in our society and our physical environment. As such we actively participate in our
communities through voluntary work and charitable donations and endeavour to minimise our impact on the environment,
for example by the use of recycled / recyclable products.
Humanism
We believe that every human has a valuable role within our society and should be treated as such, regardless
of their circumstances. We also strongly encourage a healthy home work balance and promote family friendly policies.
