Dr Elizabeth Gillett

AFBPsS.; C. Psychol.; Clin.Psy.D.; M.Sc.; B.Sc. (Hons)

Dr Elizabeth Gillett is a Chartered Psychologist specialising in both clinical and occupational psychology. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the Society of Expert Witnesses. In addition Dr Gillett has the Certificate in Occupational Testing, Level A and B. From 1998 to 2002 she was a national committee member and conference organiser for British Psychological Society, Division of Clinical Psychology, Faculty for Learning Disabilities and sat on a Division of Clinical Psychology standing committee. Recently she was instrumental in establishing a national network of clinical psychologists working with children with learning disabilities on behalf of the British Psychological Society.

Clinical
Dr Gillett has held clinical and management positions within the public and voluntary sectors for over 13 years and continues to work therapeutically with children and families within the NHS. Clinically her work experience has focused on children, adolescents, people with learning disabilities and those experiencing work related stress difficulties. She has also worked with other client groups such as older adults and adults with mental health problems. In addition she is a tutor and supervisor on the Doctoral Programmes in Clinical Psychology at the University of Birmingham and the University's of Coventry and Warwick. Dr Gillett is also a tutor with the Association of Psychological Therapies providing specialist psychological training to mental health workers across the public sector.
Medico-Legal
Dr Gillett has been undertaking expert witness work for over six years and has provided oral evidence to the court on numerous occasions. Most of these cases have been within the private or public family law system, or other legal procedures (e.g. personal injury) although she is becoming more engaged in the Criminal Justice System as a Registered Intermediary. The Intermediary scheme is a special measure being introduced by the Home Office to facilitate complete, accurate and coherent communication between a witness and the court. Dr Gillett has been selected as one of the first specialists to pilot this scheme across England and Wales.
Corporate
Dr Gillett has been offering psychological consultancy to corporate clients for over five years. Her unique style of facilitation which combines the best of consultancy practice with an insightful and 'real life' application of psychological thinking is a product of her background in psychology and training and development. Areas of special interest include the emotional impact of change on organisations; interpersonal and team relationships / performance; organisational culture; and exploration of the emotional task in the workplace / job roles.
Publications
Publications include several articles in peer reviewed professional journals with the most recent focusing on organisational culture in residential care units (JARID, 2003). In addition Dr Gillett has presented a paper at the British Psychological Society Annual Conference (2000).



Dr Jeremy Tudway

AFBPsS.; C. Psychol. (Clin. Foren); Clin.Psy.D.; B.Sc. (Hons)

Dr Tudway is a Chartered Psychologist specialising in both Clinical and Forensic psychology. Dr Tudway is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the British Association of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists. In addition Dr Tudway was previously a national executive committee member for the Division of Clinical Psychology, Faculty for Forensic Clinical Psychology. Dr Tudway has extensive senior management experience including within all aspects of security across a range of forensic services. In addition, he has worked as a senior lecturer in Clinical and Forensic Psychology and has supervised research to Doctoral and Master's level.

Clinical
Dr Tudway is recognised as a national specialist in his field and has been invited to speak at International Conferences in regard to his work and has held senior clinical and management positions within the public and independent sectors. Dr Tudway continues to work therapeutically with offenders presenting with complex problems. Clinically his work experience has focused on mentally disordered offenders and forensic issues although he has also worked with other client groups of adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities. Dr Tudway continues to work as a tutor and supervisor on the Coventry and Warwick Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology and an honorary lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Birmingham centre for Forensic & Family Psychology and has been invited to act as an external examiner in Clinical Psychology at the University of Exeter. A psychologist with a wide range skills and knowledge base, Dr Tudway is currently completing an invited contribution on Clinical Psychology to appear in 2007 and a chapter on developmental delay and offending also to appear in 2007.

Dr Tudway has provided specialist advice and training to a wide range of organisations including: The National Probation Service (Staffordshire, South Wales, Leicestershire); Area Child Protection Committees (South Wales, Leicestershire); Leicestershire & Rutland Multi-Agency Public Protection Panel; Social Services Departments; The Lucy Faithful Foundation; the NCH Bridges Service.
